The Path of Least Resistance
Imagine a rubber band. On its own, limp & lifeless.
Stretch it out, and suddenly there’s tension. Power. Possibility.
Hook it to something solid, pull back and hold…
Now the tension has structure. Direction. Purpose.
This is what author & composer Robert Fritz calls “Structural Tension.”
In this step, you’ll create Structural Tension between your Current Reality and your Desired Outcome.
All tension naturally seeks resolution.
The path of least resistance dictates either:
1. You abandon your goal & collapse into the complacency of your Current Reality. (In other words, nothing changes.)
Or:
2. You anchor to a powerful Desired Outcome and harness the tension to catapult yourself into profound, lasting fulfillment.
The structure of this Journey will transform the boredom, emptiness & frustration of your Current Reality into the clarity, confidence & fulfillment of climbing your Second Mountain.
To anchor Structural Tension in your psyche, you’ll create visceral, emotionally-charged images in the form of 3-word “Haikus” – one for your Current Reality and one for your Desired Outcome.
The rest is damn near magic.
Bottom Line
To create change, you need tension.
To create tension, you need structure.
To create structure, you need anchors.
The 12 modules of this Journey create the Anchor points you need to accelerate your clarification of “What’s Next?”
